Members attending AMP 2025: Join the ALDA community for breakfast on Thursday, November 13, before beginning your day at the conference. This meeting will bring together senior executive members and prospective members, offering a welcoming setting to share ideas and introduce colleagues from your organization to the connections and conversations that make ALDA unique.

The breakfast will also feature our esteemed guest speaker: Dr. Heidi Rehm, Director of the Genomic Medicine Unit at MGH and Chief Genomics Officer in the Department of Medicine at MGH. In her session titled Unlocking the Future of Genomic Testing: Frameworks for Actionable Data and Clinical Value, Dr. Rehm will share her groundbreaking work at the Mass General Research Institute and Broad Center for Mendelian Genomics, offering attendees valuable insights into the future of genomic medicine.

Drawing from her leadership in clinical genomics and her role in the NIH’s ClinGen initiative, Dr. Rehm will discuss how frameworks such as advanced databases, AI, and collaborative industry partnerships are needed to make genetic testing more actionable for clinical use.

Focusing on the challenge of variants of uncertain significance (VUS), Dr. Rehm will explore how diagnostic companies and clinical labs can work together to improve variant interpretation and deliver clinical value. This is particularly relevant for ALDA members, as they seek to enhance the tools and systems that underpin precision medicine.

This session is a unique opportunity for ALDA’s senior executives to gain a deeper understanding of the critical intersection between genomic research, diagnostics, and clinical practice. Dr. Rehm’s insights will equip ALDA member companies with the knowledge to adapt their strategies, improve tool development, and collaborate more effectively with clinical centers to drive the next wave of innovation in genomics and precision medicine.
