SLAS Breakfast Session with Dr. Alysson Muotri: Unlocking the Mysteries of the Human Brain

Join us for an enlightening breakfast featuring Dr. Alysson Muotri, a renowned professor at the UC San Diego School of Medicine and a pioneer in neuroscience and stem cell research. Dr. Muotri's groundbreaking work with brain organoids—miniature, lab-grown human brains—is revolutionizing our understanding of neurological development and disorders such as autism and epilepsy.

About Dr. Alysson Muotri:

Dr. Muotri is a Professor in the Departments of Pediatrics and Cellular & Molecular Medicine at UC San Diego. His pioneering research combines stem cell biology and neuroscience to model and understand complex neurological conditions. Recognized globally for his contributions, Dr. Muotri has been instrumental in advancing the field of regenerative medicine and its applications in diagnostics.

 

Fun Fact: Alan Alda, the actor behind “Hawkeye” on M*A*S*H*, and ALDA don't have much in common besides the name...until now!

There is no cancellation date, but please let us know as soon as possible if you find you cannot attend.

Important Notice:

SLAS requests that every person attending our breakfast be registered for the SLAS Conference. If you won't be able to pick up your badge prior to the breakfast, registration will be open at 6:30 a.m. for our Breakfast attendees only to check in and get your badges on Monday, January 27. SLAS wants to ensure you have time before the breakfast begins to stop at registration and get your badge.
