The breakfast presents a great opportunity for ALDA Members to meet and network with other senior executives from our member companies and a few key membership prospects attending Analytica 2024. In addition, we also invite a guest speaker.

We are delighted to welcome our guest speaker Dr. Fabian Theis, who serves as Director of Helmholtz Munich Computational Health Center and Scientific Director of the Helmholtz Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Unit (HelmholtzAI) which was launched in 2019. He is a Full Professor at the Technical University of Munich, holding the chair ‘Mathematical Modelling of Biological Systems’, Associate Faculty at the Welcome Trust Sanger Institute, and Adjunct Faculty at the Northwestern University, Department of Medicine.

Dr. Theis will share his perspectives on many of his areas of expertise, including the use of AI in cellular assays and perturbations—including large language models—and his lab’s work on machine learning in single-cell genomics. Dr. Theis will also share his thoughts on his “DeepCell” project as well as insights from his work on the board of the Human Cell Atlas. This will be a highly informative, wide-ranging presentation that Analytica attendees will not want to miss.
